Why am I getting error codes all the time? (error code 123:9687330b:201d1fa6)

Hey guys,

So for about 6 months now I've been getting all sorts of error codes completely random. It has happened to me when entering Gallery builds, EA builds, my own or pre-made families etc.

I have already abandoned one save because I kept getting error code 109:b29ba599:3b8df459. This happened with a certain family, after I fixed it by repairing the game multiple times it happened in the Library in Britechester and so on till I gave up and started a new save. I got this error code probably 7-10 times.

Now I just started a new save that I decided to renovate (all the worlds) and I build some lots myself and downloaded other from the Gallery. Now when I try to enter a retail lot in Magnolia Promenade I get this error code: error code 123:9687330b:201d1fa6

I don't understand why this is happening so often. I have almost no more script mods since I was scared to add them after the errors started happening. I currently have installed weerbesu higher salary for acting gigs, less smiles mod, lesscelebreact, MCCC, No cold clothing inside, No Blu No Glo and UI Cheats. That's all.

I do have around 150MB of CC which I have had for a long time, some of it since 2016. and the Pufferhead Stuff pack, nothing more.

Can anyone help me with this? Does anyone know what this code means?

@SimmerGeorge The error has two specific reasons as far as I'm aware

    - Non-assigned club outfits (like have an empty club outfit assigned)
    - Mannequins

If you remove both of these causes, the error should no longer occur. Keep a backup though and if you get more SimsBaseInfoWrapper errors, try to find the cause.

Errors don't spread around saves. They usually have something on a specific lot that triggers them.

The 109 was this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/CURRENT-ISSUE-Error-109-b29ba599/td-p/9483629 but as said, that should be fixed.

And I see you already found the thread on the infobasewrapper error

  • @SimmerGeorge Did you test on a vanilla folder with just your faulty save added back. 123 is very often mod related.

The 109 was supposed to be fixed in the last patch.

@crinrict hey, so asked around at the MCCC discord and they looked at my last exception and said it's probably this SimBaseInfoWrapper error from mannequins.
Now I bulldozed the lots with the mannequins and deleted all my CC from before 2019. Do you know if this error will now spread across my save or not? Or how I can stop it from happening again? I really don't want to start another new save ☹️

  • Sorry for the slight necro-post but I encountered the error too lately and I managed to fix it by removing all Mannequins and Club Flags from the lot, hopefully this can help some poor soul lost in the depths of the EA forums!

I too recently encountered this error (error code: 123:9687330b:d102782a) after placing mannequins on a Retail lot. I could enter the lot in build mode from the neighborhood but could not visit the lot. Removed mods, deleted cache, repaired game, and still got the same message.

Changing the lot type allowed me to visit, even with the mannequins still on the lot. So much for my kimono shop! I hope they fix this soon.
