I've now watched the entirety of Happy Gilmore waiting for this game to download and it's only at 46%. And I don't even know why I needed to download it.

I've been at it a little over an hour, with a disc, and I'm at 5% now. Frustrated!!!!!!

I cant login in to it origin. So im wondering when can they answer this question. I would really like to play this by just installing the disc.
@nonsenseniki wrote:Why is Origin requiring me to download the game I have on disc? Why can't I just install it from the discs? What is the point of Origin?

I have a pc. I put the disc in. It made me install origin and then it made me download the game. And it's still downloading. I'm not even to the install part yet. It's been 2 and a half hours.

If the install from disc didn't start automatically using the DVD, please try this:
1. Insert The Sims 4 Disc 1.
2. Windows should automatically open an AutoPlay prompt. Select "Run Autorun.exe" if asked.
2. a) If Windows doesn't automatically open AutoPlay, go to Computer (Windows Vista, 7, and 8) or My Computer (Windows XP)
2. b) Right-click the DVD Drive and select either "Install or run program from your media" or "Open AutoPlay". If AutoPlay, select "Run Autorun.exe".
3. When you see the screen below, click 'Continue'.
4. After you click 'Continue', Origin will open automatically in a few seconds.
4. a). As necessary, Log In or Register a new account if you don't have one.
5. Once Origin is logged in, it will automatically start installing The Sims 4 from the disc. It's important that you start the install process from the DVD Autorun, going through the screen shown at Step 3 above. This step tells Origin that you want to do a disc install instead of a download.

Mine has been almost 12 hours and is only at 41%...I am quite frustrated to say the least.

It won't automatic installed. I tried several time to press continued and nothing happy for over five minutes.

I did all the steps listed and my game won't install... after a few tries, it forced me to download (even tho I have the disks), but even then, it still did not install. I'm over 6 hours into this and I"m very mad... When I go to the library on Origin and to Installed Games, it does not show the Sims 4 as installed.

Would it be possible to have you run our OER tool and then reply with your report ID? That will give us some more information that we can look into why you're downloading the game rather than installing from disc.
You can access OER by opening the main Origin window and then clicking on Help. Click on Origin Error Reporter and then fill out the required fields (everything not listed as Optional). All we need is the report ID.
Thanks!
