Why do I have to sign-in to Origin to play Sims 4?

I have played this game over a dozen times now, and each time I try to just play the game, I'm forced to sign into origin.  Why is that?  I was told by phone that after a couple of plays I wouldn't h...

Open Origin click Origin in the Menu. select offline.
