Windenburg Lykke centre lots not working - results in frozen loading screen

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.72.28.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Island Living, Cats and Dogs, Get Together, Seasons, City Living, Jungle Adventure, Realm of Magic, Vampires, Get To Work
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to any lot in the neighborhood of Lykke Centre in Windenburg. Try to edit the building on manage worlds/or in game and then return back to manage worlds. The loading screen freezes in this process.
What happens when the bug occurs? Basically every time I try to edit the lots and try to go back to 'manage worlds' the game gets stuck in the loading screen. I've removed all mods (and each sims 4 file that could potentially have a problem in it, e.g saves, tray, etc - just experimenting). I've discovered that it has nothing to do with the mods file since I started a new game/save with my mods and the lot worked perfectly fine. The issue, however, is in the saves file. The lots themselves seems to not load/work properly in all my saves (within that save file) so I'm not too sure what's going on here.
What do you expect to see? The game should not get stuck in loading screen when you try to get out of it.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I'm not too sure if there will be a solution for this. I can imagine this is something that would only happen to me since it's in my save file but just wondering if anyone else has this issue. I don't want to remove my save folder since it has saves from 2016. I should also note that I do have backups of this save folder (probably from November 2020) and they also have the same issue.

  • I just came back to resolve the issue. After playing around with it I discovered that I started a new game with my mods folder still in my Sims 4 file (which led me to believing that it had to do with my save file and not my mods). Turns out it was the mods after all! I was using a "no fade" mod to stop objects from fading and this mod seemed to have caused this issue. The problem is now fixed, thank you though.

  • @Twilight797 If you rename your folder and just put the save back, does it work ? Since it's save specific, could you upload your save to google or onedrive and pm me the link ?
