Do you still have this problem right now if do I can help you following these instructions: this PC/I went to program files not programs files x86/EA games/the sims4/game/bin/scroll down until you see tc4_x64.
I really hope this works because I was running into the same thing you did it seems when I go to this PC and type it in it does not work. took me a while to find this so I hope this works for you
