Won’t let me call back clients to lot

Hello! I just bought the interior designer pack, and I have attempted to complete multiple gigs. The issue is that I cannot call the clients back to the lot in order to finish the gig. It doesn’t give me the option, through phone or social. I can’t even invite the sims to come hang out on the lot. I have tried to leave the lot and come back in order to complete it with the clients in tote, but it just voids the gig. Any idea what is happening? I do use mods but sifting through the mod files to find this would be a pain as i would have to do numerous amount of gigs using the 50/50 method.
