- crocobaura3 years agoLegendI am not sure what to make of the prototype room scenes. Are they just to showcase lightning? I like the colours used, but there are a lot of decor objects cluttering up the room. Maxis doesn't normally do clutter, so are we to expect a lot more clutter in TS5? Also, does one of the sims in the interaction picture appear to be a bit shorter than the other ones?
- I like how the apartment (?) shown looks lived in. Previous basegames always had a sanitized look about them, so this is an improvement. Other than that I don't expect the aspects that really interest me (time flow, played sims and npc management) to be covered anytime soon.
The "late morning" makes me wonder whether they lost the gradual move of time and replaced it with an action economy, something like "5 early morning actions per sim, then the game proceeds to mid morning (Making breakfast doesn't consume an action for Family sims, Night owl sims will get only four actions)". The little among us blob bit showed a classic sims clock so I'm not sure if they're gonna abandon that.
Also, I thought about what Lyndsay said in the summit in regards to Rene "Over the next couple of years" usually refers to 2-3 years, and this was in 2022 so maybe a 2025 release just in time for the 25th anniversary isn't completely off the table. - Horrorgirl63 years agoSeasoned Ace

And the Sims 2! Lots were assigned by what special community lot objects were placed on it.

The character movement and art style remind me of the clay animated show Gumby. - i_love_frogs_113 years agoSeasoned AceTo be fair, the sims look may and probably will change over time as they make it. As said, those were prototypes and the people are usually the last stage process when creating a sim game because you need everything around them to exist in order for them to add animations
