An empty

I'm not one to usually ask questions on forums as I try to dig as deep as I can to find my own answer but I'm stumped on this one. I recently was notified I should download EA Launcher as it's the new launching client for Windows rather than Origin, however every time I try to launch a game(The Sims Medieval) saved to my desktop or launch the EA app itself I get a small empty box with a red x. Any idea what the problem may be? My laptop is 64 bit operating on Windows 11.

The game starting isn't the only problem, I get this error when I try to launch they app itself as well. Tried uninstalling and re-installing as well as checking for updates on my laptop and restarting it. 

@YahYeetLay , can you check to see where the game is trying to install itself? We've found some games try to install themselves in odd places like old Origin folders or on One Drive if you have it.

its not the game Its the EA Desktop app

@kikamia , it is the App not properly installing the game in the correct location or not find the right path. We need to know where the game is installing so we can troubleshoot the issue. Please do check to see if you find the game files and where they are located.

Thank you, my situation is strange. i have uninstalled every game>  uninstalled the launcher app> re installed the app. and i get the same error window as OP. without a single game installed.

(the game files were in a ea folder not origin if that matters)

@kikamia , I understand this has been a common issue with the EA App. Not just Sims games, but all games.

My game saves go to OneDrive but I turned syncing documents of because of that
