Can I use the code from my CD copy of The Sims 1 to redeem the Legacy Edition?

Self-explanatory, I have a old CD copy of Sims 1 for the PC and I was wondering if I can use the code to redeem the Legacy Edition.

    Nah. Just buy an old PC on eBay and play the old games on that. I'm not wasting my money on these new releases after reading about all of the crashing. EA is unbelievable.
