2 years agoEA Entertainment, meanwhile, will encompass Respawn, DICE, Ripple Effect, Ridgeline Games (Battlefield), Full Circle (Skate), Motive Studio (Iron Man), EA's Seattle studio, BioWare, and the EA Originals label. EA also includes numerous mobile games, including Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and the recently-released Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth.https://www.ign.com/articles/ea-sports-and-ea-games-splitting-apart-in-internal-shakeup
Strange how Maxis and The Sims aren't even named above.
Miele will lead this EA Entertainment, with Zapella leading Respawn and Battlefield franchises under her. Also says Samantha Ryan will be in charge of BioWare, Maxis, Full Circle, and Motive Studios of EA Entertainment, which suggests that Maxis is also within EA Entertainment.
So Samantha Ryan is a Group General Manager overseeing several studios including Maxis. Catharina Lavers Mallet is still VP/ General Manager of the individual Sims/Maxis Studio under Samantha Ryan. And Lyndsay Pearson is still working with (under?) Catharina as Franchise Creative. Phillip Ring is Executive Producer of The Sims. We saw some of these names at the Sims Summit.
TLDR: the three most important leaders of the Sims, Catharina Lavers Mallet, Lyndsay Pearson, and Phillip Ring, are not involved in the shakeup and remain in their roles. Samantha Ryan will have ownership of and manage the profit/loss of The Sims, BioWare, Skate, and Iron Man collectively as a business unit.
