getting an error message when i try to open The Sims Medieval for pc

When i try to open The Sims Medieval for pc using the origin launcher it takes somewhere between 15 to 30 min to do anything and when it does do something an error message pops open saying " We're sorry an error has occured, we are unable to connect to EA servers to activate The Sims Medieval on this computer using your account. Please try again later." I have searched the troubleshooting FQA and i couldn't find anything like it. If anyone can help please do.

  • Can you try to repair the game or reinstall it from Origin ? You may have an old version of the Sims Medieval with the launcher. The new version don't start the launcher anymore since the servers are down.

I have changed my DNS to a public one (google's), run the program as an admin, made sure that my IvP4 was running and not my IvP6, tried to run the program using Windows 7 settings (I have Windows 10) but nothing's worked. I've gone down the list of what EA said I needed to do but no luck. I have also uninstalled/reinstalled the game. Help

    Hi @skirter1,

    Welcome to Answers HQ! 🙂

Are you installing the game through Origin or using a DVD? I would recommend trying to install it through Origin, as there's a patch for the game only available if you install the digital version of it.

If you have the physical version of the game, you can redeem your code to get a digital one. In this article you can learn how to do that: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/origin-code-redemption-faq/#redeemcode

Let us know if that helps 😉
