Hello! Come and introduce yourself!

Hi, I'm Tina. I've been playing The Sims since the original game's European launch. I was active on the TS2UK / EAUK (2006-2012) and the TS3 forum (2009-2014), but left after issues with my old laptop left me unable to play The Sims 3. I bought TS4 yesterday after discovering that my current laptop can actually run it (and very well!) - and I even got it 50% off in a sale.

I started playing today and my very first Sim birth resulted in triplets. Caring for them is simple enough, but I wasn't expecting so many Sims in the house so soon! It's only my tester family too.

Hello @Kristina :) It is nice to meet you. You would have enjoyed many happy and fun Simming hours over the years playing the different versions of the Sims. It is great that your laptop handles Sims 4 well. You will enjoy playing it. It is also great that you were able to get it for half price! That is a great sale price!
It is nice that your first sims birth in sims 4 was triplets! You will enjoy watching them grow up in your game.

Haha, yes, many many hours! Easily thousands. There have been times in the past where I've played The Sims obsessively, racking up 6-14hrs a day every day for weeks at a time haha.

Yes, I was so shocked at being able to get it so cheap! I use a Mac, so I had no choice but to look at digital pricing - otherwise I would have ended up going out and buying a physical copy without even bothering to compare prices online first. £25 instead of £50? Yes please!

I probably won't watch the triplets grow up. I created their father more to just test TS4's basic gameplay and find out what was different from TS3, and I don't really have any intentions of playing them in the long-term. My preferred play style is legacy families (in TS3 my longest was over 40 generations) so I intend to start one very soon.

Hello @Kristina :) Your 40 generations sims 3 legacy family sounds great! You would have enjoyed seeing the different generations of the family and their similarities and differences.

Hello @kanvrises :) Welcome to the forums! It is nice that you have been Simming right from sims 1. You would have had lots of fun playing the different versions of The Sims. Building is a fun part of simming! We can show our creativity, and furnish homes for our sims just as we would like them to be. The Simming community is very creative! It is great looking at all the creations that simmers post on the forums and on the Gallery.

Hi everyone! I've been playing the sims for a very long time and always love creating their funny stories. I also find the forums helpful and fun to find new challenges. I just got the sims 4 for my mac and I'm addicted! I've been waiting for such a long time and it's finally here. Anyway thanks, for all your helpful tips and challenge ideas!

Hello @Gracie345 :) It is nice to meet to you. The Forums is a great place to find out helpful information about playing the Sims and for discovering new challenges and ways of playing the game. It is great that Sims 4 is now on Mac and that now you and other Mac users are able to enjoy playing it.

Hello all! I posted in another spot about making Machinima which is a hobby I enjoy :) I haven't made or produced anything since late 2008 but I'm hoping to get back into it using The Sims 4. Looking forward to getting to know you all and perhaps working with some of you via Machinima :)
