- @camerons829 Pff so sad! TS2 is my life. I miss it so much. I got all the expansions and i was 1 month to late for the ultimate collection. I hate it so bad. :'(
Please offer Sims 2 to buy.
Id love if they brought back the sims 2 for digital download, I wouldn't even mind if they sold it as a triple A game. They don't even need to support it and make updates for it id be happy if i only got to download/buy it. I sadly didn't have a computer when you could get the digital version and it was to late by the time I did have one ☹️(

EA has been making a push on Steam, releasing more games each month that goes by and without their silly DRM that ruins everything.
They recently released some classic RPGs and Strategy games that came like such a surprise! It was such a smart move to get more sales on seemingly "forgotten" games. Now it's time to give The Sims franchise the same love!
TS1 and 2 have been left behind by EA, not even making it available for purchase anymore on their platforms. They are literally abandonware, left behind, forgotten by the times but not by us Simmers! With The Sims 4 being such a cash cow for EA, I wonder if releasing these gems again wouldn't be a great move.
They've already made the Ultimate Collection a few years ago, and TS1 has one as well, so they just need to pull a few strings to put it back on sale, like with these revived games...
Lets bring attention back to these wonderful games!Comment if you want your voice to be heard and bring these beloved games to Steam and also EA App!
To everyone:
The digital download of Sims 2 Ultimate Collection ended in late 2018 at which time the game was retired by EA/Maxis. Before you ask, yes, I have asked if there are any plans to remaster and bring back the game and the official answer is no.
The only way to play Sims 2 unless you were lucky to obtain the free giveaway prior to 2018 is to purchase physical copies of the game on disk. This will require the purchase of an external disk drive which isn't very expensive these days. You can find copies of the game on Amazon or E-Bay or at local game stores that sell used games or thrift stores. The game will run on modern Windows computers with some minor tweaks. If you still have your disks and wish to play the game, please start a new thread and the folks here will be happy to help you.
The only digital version of the game still available for purchase is from the Apple App Store for Apple Computers. It does not include the full run of the game, but does include every thing that was ported to the Mac by Aspyr.
EA is very aware of the response they have had for years now asking for the game to be brought back and there have been hundreds of polls, threads, petitions over the years on here, the Sims Forum and on many Sims fan sites. As stated at the beginning of this post, there are no plans to bring the game back.

Hello I'm writing this beautiful letter becuase I love the sims. But you see I grew up with The Sims 3 and ended up having to play The Sims 4 due to you know not having the best laptop but anyways my sister however was a Sims 2 player and I've always have wanted to play the game but to my suprise you... can't... buy it. So like EA please let us simmer buy this darn game please!! Or do that free code again because I was never able to redeem that code that came out around 2014 becuase you know I was a child... A CHILD. Please all I beg of you is to please just give us a code please. Please! My sister never let me play it because I was "annoying" I mean like COME ON! My bad that I like to talk!! But please EA PLEASE.
@XGlitterSimmer , you can purchase the game on DVD/CD and purchase an external disk drive to run the game. EA/Maxis is very aware of the Community wanting the game to be remastered and re-released. But the company made the decision to retire the game in 2018 and have choosen not to take time and resources to maintain or update this game.

Please make The Sims 2 and the additional story packs (like The Sims 2 Dalmatian or Castaway/Island one) available for purchase in the library, so we can buy them officially instead of resorting to piracy and shady corners of the internet. What’s the problem? You'd profit from it, and it would bring joy to your players. Let's be honest, you’re primarily known for The Sims series, so it would make sense to capitalize on that and give yourselves an opportunity to earn more. I’m just waiting for a rational response on this matter.
