That's also a possibility. I was honestly thinking something along the lines that the writer of the note possibly killed or hurt her while in wolf form?
Either way, both theories have to do with Avelina being the spouse of the the writer of the note.
Unless, as others have mentioned, it is a mystery name of some sort?
