Just remember folks, next time EA/Maxis tries to make another bull ???? "We're so progressive, dear god look at how progressive we are. We got gays, we even added Muslim stuff to the game because who else is putting Muslim stuff in their game? Exactly, because we're just so progressive!!!" video/campaign that they do every year or so or when they get into some controversy and need to look good again, just remember that for 6 years they had like two shades of skin for black Sims....and they were both hideous....AND they finally said they're only going to change it cause a couple of white girlsjumped on that same "DEAR GOD ARE WE PROGRESSIVE OR WHAT?!" traincomplained about it.
Say it again. The favoritism with these Ea game game changers has gone really irritating. Kinda ???? me off just a bit
Yeah been saying that for over a month about the favoritism towards only certain game changers which is causing a lot of racism within the problem and having those few modding over complaints about representation within the game just because it wasn't representing what they look like is just wrong.SpoilerPlus I predicted who would win the Spark'd challenge was going to be privileged girls and they did.
I am glad Xmiramira spoke out about it and she is highly respected within the modding community. I got attacked for complaining about this by several Simmers, but then a few favorite game changers speak out about it and it suddenly becomes "progressive". But yes I complained to the Gurus about it and honestly am happy they are finally addressing it now. If only they addressed it years ago instead of letting their CM get attacked over trying to get reference pictures for artists to use. Thankfully they are working for a much more progressive company now that doesn't hold back on content just because of game changer favoritism. I am friends with some game changers that are actually more progressive than some of the more popular ones which pains me to hear that racism is happening towards them.- atreya33Seasoned Ace

I agree that they should post all the same announcements here as on twitter. However, I do have to agree with @Netzspannung as well. I've never once thought the forums were a place for me to connect with Guru's but rather a service provided to us to connect with other simmers. We don't even bug report here! That goes to EA. I've always thought of it as more a treat if a Guru shows up in a thread! They do read the feedback section though, even if they're not always commenting on it and I see them often in the bug reports over at EA AnswersHQ.
There's not enough time in a day for them to work their full time job working on the game, read all the forums and answer everything, and other social medias. It would be unreasonable to expect them to do any of this outside office hours, although I do suspect that some do. Personally, I'd rather them keep working on the game and updates and bug fixes than answering my post on here.
Interesting to read how you see this forum. I always thought it was a little bit of both, a place for simmers to connect to each other and to communicate with Maxis. But I think you are right, it probably is not supposed to be about the latter. Which is a bit sad because after all this is the official forum. People here post because they really care about the game.
About the bug report, we don't report bugs here because we are not allowed. Posts about bugs get shot down. We are forced to go to the bug report section at EA for that. I wish we could report them here. "Atreya33;c-17613853" wrote:

Don't worry I read them still and let SimGurus know about them when I can. Perk of being a Playtester, is getting to play with the bugs. We used to be able to report them and I still see SimQARobo stop by, but yes reporting them with EA help section is good and can send save files directly to the Gurus and pictures which can help squish the bugs faster.- @ScobreSpoilerWhat Spark'd challenge did you mean? Because overall, Spark'd was won by Simlicy, xmiramira and Dr.Gluon. Wouldn't call them privileged girls. ?

It’s downright disgusting how a lot of non black simmers feel about this issue finally being addressed. It’s really off the charts ?❗️- Peapod79New Spectator

I was thinking about it further and I'm sure I remember it being a little more like how you think, but that was all some time ago. Back in the Sims 2 days and the BBS, I'm sure I remember seeing SimGuru's there a lot more and commenting on our stories and such. I never do remember anyone being transparent on what they're working on with the game, but they were there commenting on our bug reports and helping with solutions. Pretty sure. Much like they do over at EA Answers HQ.
I think it makes some sense for them in a business sense to keep all of their games in one place. Makes it a little easier on the people working to fix bugs and broken games to only need to check one forum instead of two. It doesn't make it easier for us though. I'm pretty sure when they first set this site up, and moved all the TS3 and TS2 stuff here, that we could report bugs here as well.
While I don't expect them to comment on everything (or much of anything anymore), I'd just like all announcements on social media be posted here as well as the other sites so I didn't have to hunt for everything. This time it was, but that's a pretty rare thing. :/ - @Jordan061102 I don't want to undermine the horrible things Black people go through, but where do you get from that racism has to be systematic and structural to be called racism? When you google the definition of racism, none of that is in there.
