Simple things we miss from previous The Sims games

Sometimes I miss funny or functional things or some simple functionalities from previous series. I am wondering if you have some objects/interactions which you miss from previous The Sims games if yes, feel free to share here. But plese lets talk about small thigns this time, not improvements like colorwheel or open world.

My examples from The Sims 1:

Spiral staircase
Elevators

The Sims 2 (unique, because spiral staircases or elevators are in TS1):

- ponds
- splited swatches for bed and bedding
- Possibility to claim a room in a university dorm
- Possibility to have a buisness into the house
- Possibility to built your own hotel/apartment
  • The unpredictability aspect. I think Sims had more autonomy in TS3 and would do more crazy things to spice up situations for good, and for bad.
  • The arched western driveway sign from TS1
    The mechanical bull
    The lips loveseat
The flat wall counter that you could put things underneath but still use as a kitchen counter
The way the horns on the moose head and the eyes on paintings would follow you

The story album feature from Sims 1 and 2. EA mightve forgotten it but I haven't!

Amen on this! My #1 pet peeve with TS4.
