Cara0ta lisawestley87 MrsHalfpenny Try forcing the game to open in windowed mode. Open the EA App game library, click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the Sims 2 Legacy icon, select View properties, and add -w to the command line box.
I'm having this issue too I tried installing direct x9 from windows but no luck

meikeroos0105 Are you getting this same error or a different one? If it's different, please post a screenshot of it.
Either way, please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

meikeroos0105 Where is your game installed? You can see in the EA App under View properties. And what antivirus do you use?
it is installed in the standard sims map and i dont have any antivirus
