Sims 2 legacy - Sim created in CAS keeps disappearing

Hi! Every time I make a sim in CAS and move him into a home, shortly after, if I need to leave and come back to the family, they’re gone. And the memories other sims have says “subject” instead of their names. They COMPLETELY disappear and I’m so confused!! It’s the only issue I have!
