Sims 25th Birthday Bundle issues

Sims 1 - Gameplay is fine but when I click save the game sometimes closes... 

Sims 2 - Was working fine for a couple of hours but my sims went on holiday to Twikki Island and it started bugging out. When try to load their hotel, Potterhouse Bungalow, the white loading animation runs across the top but then it doesn't load fully. The game is playing behind the loading screen and I can hear my sims doing usual activity and I get the pop up in the bottom right corner but the Potterhouse Bungalow loading screen is still over the top?? I've tried loading it directly from the holiday map and via my sims family and the same error occurs.

Has anyone else had this? How do I fix both issues?
