Sims 4 Kits vs Sims 3 Store: Which one did it better and why?

Plumbella did an interesting Video, where she compared the Sims 3 Store with the Sims 4 Kits. Both of them give you more customization options for your playstyle. So what do you think? Who wins

At least in The Sims 3 store you could buy items individually.
If there was just a sofa in a whole set I liked, I could just get the sofa.

Points surplus is a problem though but at least for now they don’t expire. It’ll be a pain when you have to spend them all!

This is why I think the store works better over kits.
