Sims still disappearing after patch 2
I uninstalled Sims 2 Legacy after patch 1 because I was fed up with disappearing sims, but I reinstalled again after seeing patch 2 was supposed to fix it... Well it hasn't done it's job. I made an entire new neighborhood since the devs said it's better to start fresh and I went about making sims to populate it. Everything was going well for a while, but I came into the game today and noticed 3 sims are missing.
Exhibit A:
I made these 2 sims just today and already the dead sim has been deleted. And you might think "who cares about a dead sim?" I do!! She was important to the lore of the Sim still alive.
I didn't even have to leave the lot to notice this one, I had saved early and then spent ages waiting for the ghost to appear. Admittedly the dead sim is a child and I know their ghosts are a bit buggy, but I had a mod installed to fix it and I know it works, so I was waiting to the ghost to appear just to make sure everything was working as it should. More than 5 sim days pass and I realise something is wrong, so I reload the lot without saving and then I find out the entire grave has been deleted.
"Maybe the problem is the mod and not the game!"
And my answer to that is exhibit B:
After noticing the missing grave, I immediately start going through every single household in the neighborhood, and to my disappointment I discover that 2 sims from this household have been entirely deleted. There should be 3 siblings here, but only the oldest one is still here and she has no memories or family ties to her siblings anymore.
However, what's even more strange is the fact that the siblings still show up on the household portrait!
I can handle all sorts of glitches in the Sims 2, even sims not eating I can work around, but dealing with disappearing sims is beyond frustrating. I don't know what the cause is, so I can't even take measures to prevent it and all the work I put into making these sims and creating story-lines gets immediately undone.
Please please get this glitch patched EA
