The Sims 1 won't launch – tried everything

Tried everything now, but still no help. Just to keep this thread up: Windows 10 PRO. IntelGraphic, Finland. Download via Steam. Just launch... then nothing.

Please EA; Make our childhood nostalgia alive again!! 

Just spoke with someone from EA player help services and they said the Sims team is aware of this issue and is currently investigating/working on a fix. 

Same. Doesn’t open at all. 
The Sims 2 has opened but crashes regularly…… They better fix this soon!!!

Count me in as well. I have all of the CDs for this game, but they are no longer compatible.  I want to relive this game on my PC, but it won't load. 

Same for me, on Windows 10. What a disappointment 

Having the SAME issue as well. Game goes to launch then crashes immediately back to the ea app. Really hoping for a fix asap. 

Same thing for me, The Sims 1 doesn't launch (on Windows 10). If I click on it, it looks like it's going to open, but it only goes back to the EA app.

I've tried all the solutions I've seen online, tried to update some things on my computer, tried to change the compatibily, tried to repair the game, to uninstall and reinstall the game, to restart my computer many times and not one of those things has worked so far. I also used the "EA Error Reporter" on the EA app.

The Sims 2 is ok and I can use it at least, but it's frustrating especially since there seems to be a lot of us in this situation.
