The Sims 1 won't launch – tried everything
The Sims won't launch – the screen flashes, and EA App opens again. I tried clearing the cache in the app and resolving compatibility issues in the game files, but nothing helps.

Same , tried all the fixes game refuses to launch, requested a refund.
To everyone in this thread, please try reinstalling your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes. Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:

Install the runtimes, restart your computer, and try to play.
