the sims 2 legacy still won't start after patch

I still get the same error massage "some needed files were corrupted"
what can i do??

    Please try the solution posted in our main thread here. Launching the installation on a new admin account seems to resolve this issue for others. I will lock this thread to avoid duplicates, so please feel free to post further comments in our main thread. Thanks.
