I was never able to play the sims 1 but I am always curious how would it be to play it.
Nonetheless, I remember how in the sims 2 how warm it made me feel when the child of my sim went running to his house after school when he had a good grade to share the great news, how the child went running to his dad when his dad came from work and they looked so genuinely happy. The great detailed stories the families had like Bella Goth disappearance and the big family tree of ancestors the sims had with the goths cemetery and even knowing that the Caliente family had an alien as an ancestor! There was dominant and recessive genes and the little video scene they put when the sims propose or have woohoo etc was great. How my little toddler got really cold that their skin got blue and I had to put her in front of the fireplace and be told a story by her grandpa till she got warm and healthy again. I remember I was so scared she would die..and now is a fond memory for me.
In the sims 3 I specially liked how you could go anywhere and you felt such a freedom walking anywhere you wanted. How there was many parts in the world that were pretty secret and nice where I could take my sims to explore and even propose. The big surprises I get with the story progression and the amount of infinite options i had to decorate my home and my sims. How even with the flaws of the sims I could still laugh at the careless of the parents when they left their newborn baby in the snow while they went to a coffee shop. I also loved how I could alternate with the family with no problem and control them all at once no matter where they were. I loved the pets and I felt so connected to my sims' kitten that I was dreading the moment she would eventually pass away. I was taking that pixelated kitten that grew to a very cute cat like if it was my own real life pet. It was just so cute how that cat loved my sim and always was so affectionate to her.
There is more I can say about the sims 4. But I feel I have written enough for now lol
