- Excluding Project Rene (possibly The Sims 5) itself, it seems like the competition (Paralives, Life by You, Vivaland, etc.) are more focused on the realistic aspects than the fantasy/goofy ones. I love realism don't get me wrong but I want a mixture of fantasy as well because I'm an occult player. I also don't like the art style of each one since I prefer the Disney/Pixar/Barbie art style that The Sims 4 has. Who knows, maybe down the line that these games might have their own unique ideas for occults if they do add them. Regarding Project Rene itself, I'm happy that it'll be free-to-play upon launch.
- LaunchSneezesSeasoned VeteranMy unpopular opinions are that I hope there is a single-player AND multiplayer option and I hope that it is free to play.

You know those are already confirmed by Maxis, right? ?- LaunchSneezesSeasoned Veteran@MarteziaKing I did not, because tbh I don't keep up with it at all...thanks for the info.

Your welcome! ?- suepixelsRising RookieUnpopular Opinion: Honestly? Sims 2 was superior and still is in many things! Should have improved on that level over the years. If I don't get the Sims Game that should have been done in the first place with Sims 4? Combining the best features of TS2, TS3, and TS4? I don't want it and I will look for alternatives especially now that we have them.
- Fluteline24New SpectatorUnpopular Opinion: None of them interest me at all. Not Project Rene, not Life By You, not Paralives... none of them.
I'm an occult player first and foremost. If these games cannot promise occult gameplay, I have no interest in it. I started getting into The Sims because it was a life simulator but funnier and wacky. All of the new life simulators are lacking the funny, the wacky, the strange... everything that made The Sims what it is. - cyncieSeasoned Veteran

Same, so far. I love my fantasy game right now. I won’t switch at all if I can’t play something like it. - OldeSimsFanNew TravelerAlthough not a heavy occult player am with you otherwise. What have seen of the various new life sim games is that they are RL sim games, not the whimsical take of the Sims to date. I have RL 24/7/365, when I play a game to unwind from said RL, more RL is not what I have in mind.

Same here. I haven't yet seen anything shown in those other lifesim games that gets me excited because they don't appear to have the silly humor or the fantasy world elements I want.
