@PriestessBizarre That is terrible! But in the long run, surviving comes first, and though it may not be easy to find another job eventually, jobs can be replaced, but lives cannot. Hugs to you, and hang in there. We're all hoping that medical science will produce a way to control and end this pandemic and allow us to go forth.
@WhatCobblers That's rough, but relatable. It's not easy to have stable longterm friendships in adulthood once you're past uni...they tend to be produced by the workplace and we all know what a fragile social network that is, lasting only as long as the job lasts for both parties. Modern lifestyles in the US in which there are a dearth of truly walkable cities, and a longterm emphasis on consumerism, media consumption, and the workplace as the primary activities of adults, has left almost nothing of a genuine social infrastructure, and social media has taken care of that in a most insidious way. But the pandemic may have given us a reality check on what matters, and what makes for happiness, and it's... access to one another. Maybe we'll come out of this with different priorities.
As to the current question, that kind of laughing is pretty commonplace for me, as I'm a jokester at heart and we're always teasing each other and cracking jokes around here. It helps that hubs has a generous laugh and always plays along. So I'll be doubled over laughing and that starts him laughing, til the tears are in our eyes. The last time was yesterday, and it will probably happen again today, as he had both days off and we're doing some kitchen remodeling, so power tools + a couple of beers and us being together is likely to result in comic exploits.
We're lunatics, but we have fun!
When was the last time you remodeled, rearranged, or redecorated your space?
