Where do I begin…

First off, I want to thank everyone who has helped me on previous posts trying to fix my game. I’ve been a die hard Sims player since Sims 2. I used to come home from school and run straight to my mom’s computer just to play. Some of my best memories are tied to this game. Nothing will ever replace that feeling.

But today I’ve decided to uninstall The Sims, and for the first time in 15+ years I can honestly say I regret the money, time, and investment I’ve put into it. I never thought I’d say that. I have every pack, kit and even the new marketplace content I foolishly fell for.

The worst part isn't even the bugs anymore. Bugs happen. It's the feeling of being ignored after years of loyalty. It's watching players spend hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars, only to be treated like walking wallets instead of people who genuinely love this game. Every update feels like gambling with your save file. Every fix seems to create ten more problems. Every forum post feels like shouting into a room where nobody is actually listening.

The EA forums have become nothing more than a waiting room. A place to collect frustration while players desperately hope someone cares enough to fix the issues that keep piling up. And after all these years, I honestly struggle to remember a time where something was fixed without creating an entirely new list of problems.

I know companies need money. I understand that. But at what point does profit stop becoming a reason and start becoming an excuse?

I've never been this frustrated with a company before. This latest update wasn't the reason I quit, it was the final straw. Years of defending the game. Years of giving chances. Years of hoping things would improve. Eventually you hit a point where you realize you're not having fun anymore. You're troubleshooting. You're frustrated. You're exhausted.

To anyone still playing, value your time more than this company values it. Value your money more than this company values it. Hold them to a higher standard because you deserve one.

Maybe this post gets deleted. Maybe honesty isn't welcome. But if this is really the end for me, I just want to say thank you for the memories. Fifteen years is a long time.

I just wish the game I grew up loving cared as much about its players as its players cared about it.
