- ArchivistNew SpectatorFor some reason I was only thinking in terms of Simlish songs on the radio, so I clicked The Sims 2 prematurely. I think The Sims 1 has the best soundtrack overall. I listen to it when I'm cleaning my house / daydreaming about being rich.
- Do I really have to pick one? They're all amazing and a joy to listen to.
For me, Sims 3 probably has my favorite Buy mode music, I really love the bubbly orchestrated goodness it has. A Ball of Yarn is my favorite overall.

But that doesn't mean I don't love Consumerism Simplified

Or Aisles of Smiles

I still find myself humming to Sim Time Sim Place in the Sims 2 even though that's my most recent played game so I don't know its music all that well.

And Sims 4? Great too. Snowy Escape's music is such a joy to listen to.

Sims 1? Has Sims Superstar. I absolutely adore how its music got put into Spore Galactic Adventuresunder "Pump-U-Up" and ended up being one of my favorite songs to put without realizing it was from The Sims!

- Only played 3 and 4, but 3 had better music.

TS2 neighborhood themes were so good
Ska music (It reminds me No Doubt at the beginning)

Wow that was a blast from the past. Great music! ???- SmellincoffeeSeasoned ScoutI'm only familiar with the music of TS1 & TS2, because at some point I began listening to my music + podcasts while Simming, so the only music I hear in TS4 is the emotion stings. I like TS1's neighborhood + build/buy mode music, and TS2's radio stations.
- LadyGray01Seasoned HotshotWhile Sims 2 is my favorite, I actually listen to all of them when I'm building. I have an iTunes playlist with allllllll the music from allllll the games. Took me a long time to collect it all.
- VWoodsongSeasoned ObserverI didn't play the first two and only a little of the third. I don't love all the music in 4, and I actively dislike some of it, but most of it doesn't set my teeth on edge, unlike almost every sample I've ever heard from any of the older games. :grimace:
- SimburianRising RookieI just turn the music off in game and put the sound down generally. It gets annoying after a while.
- it was such a close call between urbz and sims 1 in my heart maybe because those styles are somewhat missing in ts4
But in ideal world:
Build/Buy:
Sims 1
its calm and has that oldey shopping feel that I love
CAS:
Sims 2
Its interestingly funky
and makes you feel like creating fun stories and families
Neighborhood/Loading Screens:
Urbz/ Medieval/Castaway etc.
(depending on world)
its thematic and makes you feel like exploring a new world
be it a cool city, fun beach or full on middle ages out there
Radio:
All games cause why not
I feel sims4 soundtrack is good but its just a little... plain and ordinary i guess needs some new vibes
sims 3 was always my least favourite
(i don't know its just bit... stress inducing but maybe that just me)
but if i had to pick best part of it maybe the radio stations
