Candlelit Fork Restaurant is Broken =(

Hey Sims Freeplay,

I'm sad to report I am unable to use the Candlelit Fork Restaurant for its intended purpose. Multiple Sims are unable to dine at the same table - and some tables are completely unusable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game in hopes that would resolve the issue but the problem still persists. I'm on Android v13, One UI 5.1, Security Patch 10/1/24. The last time this happened was today, 11/10 at approximately 10:45 AM CST.

I attempted to attach several videos for reference (unfortunately the 90 second video was too long to upload...I edited them down to 15 seconds long...there were persistent errors, so I removed them in order to post).

I noticed there are other Simmers with this restaurant bug and they have reported it on this forum.

Any idea on if this will be resolved?

  • This forum is provided by EA but is designed as Player helping Player, in this case we can not do much for you

    also difficult when you use strictly numerical dates on an international forum

    95% of the world have the month in the middle D/M/Y or Y/M/D, day first if it is D/M

    hard to know if you are in the minority 5% and refering to October or if you had this issue since January

    for international sites, please, write out the month in letters to avoid confusion

    also this is a world wide open forum

    any personal information should be left out, like name, phone number, location, address, email, bank number or social security number

  • I have 2 complaints, at the Candlelit Fork restaurant, none of my sims are able to sit at the booths. If I click on the booth, it puts a bubble with a chair over their head and they won’t sit there. I am also having the same problem with the mall diner and the tables.

    i was instructed on the EA chat to leave my issue here for it to be resolved.

    You were instructed by EA to post here so others would know they are not the only ones

    We are a player to player forum

    Issues like this cannot be RESOLVED by us at AHQ and Support knows that

    we are NOT ALLOWED to go into other players games to see what the issue is, how the mechanics of it conects to the programming and make changes to resolve it - that is something ONLY support may do, as per the Terms of Service agreement we all sign off on. 

    Even if we could, it would violate ToS (can get you banned on EAs platforms and games) and possible real world laws (can get you fined and/or jailed)

    You can go back to support, say that you've posted here and that you are not alone and now they have to resolve it

    I did exactly as was advised by the "EA Help" Section provided in The Sims Freeplay game itself. Not my fault that they are misdirecting and misleading players to a forum where we are unable to receive direct resolutions from EA. I have filed a complaint with EA on bbb.org - originating it to Corporate Headquarters in Redwood, CA, USA. 

    I recommend you pass along this info so that other players don't have similar confusion since it is difficult to know where to direct questions and concerns. Maybe they should change the title to "EA Player Help" or similar to that.

    Also, I posted a nickname/screen name. Just like NiteOnCloudNine - my username in EA - it is not any identifying information.

  • Also, I am accepting the help from the volunteer as "Resolved" due to the fact that I am seeking assistance directly from EA, not player-to-player support. 

    Again, I hope the volunteer will make a suggestion to have EA make it clear which method of support you are being directed to- specially considering there are provided routes of "EA Support" in-game. It should not be stated as EA Support when typically this is player-to-player support from players whom are not employed by EA.

    I will be adding this suggestion to my Better Business Bureau complaint.
