Hello community. Today, I was trying to open the Sims Freeplay app and when I tried to access my sim town, the game said that an error occurred when trying to load the assets. I tried everything from clearing the game cache and restarting my phone to even changing wifi's, but nothing happened and the troubleshoot screen stayed the same. I can't uninstall and reinstall the app or else all my in game progress will be erased.
I can't just log into my account! Please send me the details! Look into this matter please.
I have done everything short of deleting as I fear losing everything, but am really angry that I stupidly spent money on this game. I was at level 55, almost done with Simdex. Come on, EA.
I just found info from the past on this same issue. It says to uninstall and reinstall but save data to icloud. I backed my data up here also in download data in my settings just in case. I'm on my kindle and received an additional message that my kindle fire no longer will upload the data so not sure if you play on a tablet. Maybe this has something to do with it. I'm contacting support tomorrow if I can't figure this out. 🙏🙂
I just found a way that solved my problem. I was having the same error loading problem while using my wi-fi connection. I switched to mobile data, and somehow it was able to load.
If, by any chance, you can get another connection. It's worth a try.

I personally can not sign in with chrome or safari, so you might need to try different browsers (I use Edge)

I've also got the same problem, unable to download assets etc., I also tried connecting to other wi fi connections but that didn't work. Am gutted as I only have 1 day left to complete the event and will have lost all my progress if I don't meet the deadline. Hope the problem is fixed soon!!!!
The Sims Free Play only works on the phone, no tablets. After a certain point when you try to install it, it will say not compatible with device.
Please state what device and what OS you're using
