Probably not much help for most out there but it might help out one or two people.
I had a the same problem on LG with Android 6, game crashing after trying to access a sim visiting a neighbor, constantly getting the Sorry, Sims Freeplay stooped working (or something like that)
A reinstall helped somewhat - my game worked until I tried to visit a neighbor, then it crashed again and failed to load. So my advice would be to try to reinstall and then avoid neighbors until the whole problem is fixed.
Since firemonkeys keeps ignoring my question - I have the same problem on an Android Tablet - this @GizelaXmight be at least a 'compromise'. But since firemonkeys write on their page that they have a solutions for this and one should contact them, I don't understand why they keep ignoring respective inquiries. However, thanks for your advice.

Please follow the steps below to report this issue to support:
- Go to submit a ticket after logging in: https://help.firemonkeys.com.au/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=46384
- Select the relevant issue such as "Crash when visiting Neighbour's town - Sim stuck"
- Complete the ticket, ensuring you include your player ID
- Await automatic response, and follow the instructions
- A Specialist will assist you
- Refrain from playing

@Axs2209Sxa3479 What exactly do you mean? On what stage of the ticket (Player/Device/issue/Summary) do you get stuck on?

You player ID is not mandatory. On 'Player' section of the ticket you need to fill in one of the fields - Player ID OR Game Center ID OR Facebook Profile.
If you fill in any of these 3 you should be able to proceed.
