Is this rival a real person or a bot? How are they so far ahead of me when the event only just started?

This is a player to player forum provided by EA but rely on other players to answer questions, if no player has an answer, the question will not be answered. We are volunteers and do not get payed, thus we can choose what to answer and skip those that we do not have an answer to or if it is a player we rather not interact with for any reason, we can skip those too

Sim Chase 86 started May 11th, 2025 at 7AM UTC or first time you logged in/opened the game after that specific time and that is when the rivel started.
You have one day to finish each episode if you want to keep up with the rival and get the prize of that episode
You can of course take longer to finish an episode but then the rival will get ahead of you and you will not get the days prize
My guess is that you opened the game last week (and the rival started the chase) but you did not start right away, thus the rival being so far ahead
next sim chase 87 will start May 27th, 2025 7AM UTC
