how do I get married on sims freeplay?

I have the goal to get married and for the boy it says engaged but for the girl is says partner and I try to be romantic to the girl but the engaged meter wont go up to married!!!!!!!!!! PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

    After you get engaged. Keep getting romantic. Marrying option will come in sometime.
