how do i get my sim to practice making films in a neighbors town

You need to find a camera on a tripod at one of your neighbors' houses. 

But I've looked everywhere and I can't a camera?? I I don't have anymore lifestyle points. But I can't buy anymore because my parents won't let me!! Please help!!

You need a neighbor who has a movie camera in one of their houses. You don't buy the camera.

If you want to get LPs then have as many of your sims do the cooking hobby. Just keep doing the hobby at the one minute or five minute dish. Make sure when all the slots are filled your clear it out to start the hobby over. Here is a link to help you.

Video cameras can be purchased with simoleons in the promotions r us store on the town map. Then your sim can practice fan film making on a home lot for their geeky life dream goal.
