Problems with make out couch

I bought the make out couch and I tried to get my sims to use it but it didn't work right. The only option I got was to "wait for make out partner", even though they were standing right there. Should...

    It actually is pretty simple, so simple I can't believe I had to ask for help. Once the first person sits down, make sure to tap a different area of the couch so that it gives you the option to "join partner". Like duh on me!! Lol
