I've tried that and it didn't work. Please can you list all the reasons why it might not work and/or list ways I can fix, I would really appreciate it as I'm not at all tech savvy.😕

Could you both please check your Facebook app settings and see if The Sims Freeplay is authorized? Please let me know how it goes.

I have linked with Facebook and it still didn't work. Should I sent u a screenshot?

Having the same problems...Im connected to  the face book app and google play,tried un-logging from both and re-logging back in again,tried uninstalling/re-installing the game,can save on the cloud,tried accessing the party boat on 2 devices an Acer chromebook and a Samsung tablet...both say the same thing ...cannot connect to the party boat...retry

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem with Google Play. Error says "problem connecting to google play".

I have read all over the internet trying to find a solution. I have tried logging out of Facebook and Google Play, tried reinstalling and also checked that the app is authorised.

Please EA, let us know how to resolve this issue, I love this game but it sucks not being able to load the Party Boat.

Are you logging out/in to Google Play and Facebook from the Cloud Save menu? That can help with refreshing the connection.

I have just managed to get connected to the party boat......

log out of both facebook and google play using the in game cloud save menu...then click on the party boat...it then comes up with a screen to log in to Facebook and Google play...just log into Facebook and ignore Google,it let me connect to the boat and collect the life style points,when you click on visiting someone it prompts you to download a 203m patch...on me it failed to download several times around the 98% mark but keep hitting retry,eventually it finishes

i don't have Facebook,don't want facebook, and will not use Facebook. I have tried logging out of googleplay, and logging back in with no change. The only thing I can do in the cloud is update my current game to the cloud. IS THERE ANY WAY to get into party boat WITHOUT having Facebook??

There's some changes coming soon for Android which may affect this issue. Here's the details from Firemonkeys:

We are making some changes to the way you sign in to your player profile on our games for Android. Most of these changes are happening under-the-hood, so if all goes to plan you won’t see much of a difference during normal game-play.

Although these changes are Android specific, iOS players should still take precautions to best protect themselves from any potential data loss.

Profile changes

Google Plus is moving to Google Play Services.

Achievement information, and certain online game features rely on your Google Plus profile which will be migrated over to the new system. However, your current Google Plus profile picture will no longer be used in-game, instead your Avatar from the Google Play Games app will be displayed instead.

If you’re having issues logging in using your Google social profile, we recommend you DO NOT UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL THE GAME as this may cause you to lose progress. Instead, if possible, please connect another social account to your save and contact our support team.

Make sure you are prepared

Whilst we expect everything to go smoothly we just want to make sure that you are well prepared if anything should go awry. That means making sure you:

• Do not uninstall the game.
• Uninstalling is usually safe, but if you are unable to log in then you may not be able to restore your save data after you reinstall the game.
• Have your save game backed up to the cloud.
• If something happens we might be able to restore your save if you have backed it up.
• Write down your Player and Device IDs.
• Should your save game go missing from your device we should be able to find it on our servers.
• See here for instructions on how to locate your ID.
• Avoid resetting your phones Advertiser ID.
• Changing your advertiser ID means we won’t be able to identify you.

If your Player ID changes at any time please contact support immediately and let us know your new, and old ID so we can assist.
