Sims freeplay puppy quest

I just started doing the lost puppy quest on sims freeplay, I got to the part where I pick it up and take it home and place it down, I did that but the puppy isn't in my house it shows it floating in the park and my sim that was doing the quest can't leave the house. Does anyone know how to fix this without restarting my game. P.S I've tried deleting game after cloud save and reinstalling.
