Sims Freeplay won't save my character's name?

When I create a name for my new character the game doesn't seem to save it and instead refers to the character by its default name instead. How can I fix this?

Hi all,

I'm very sorry to hear that you're experiencing this. Please note that if you confirm your completed Sim from the DNA TAB, the name will be saved correctly. But if you confirm your Sim and exit out of the Create-a-Sim menu from any other tab, the name will revert back.

The team are aware of this bug and working to correct it ASAP!

I downloaded the sims freeplay a few days ago and it won't let me change my sims names. This is actually the second time downloading the game, and the first time it allowed me to change the sims names. I'm not sure if it's my device or the game.

i have tried three times with this sim to make it's name "Neville Longbottom" (it's Harry Potter themed town), and each time i have added him to the town, his name always comes out with the original suggestion. this is on my kindle fire, but i have another game on my iphone 4s, and the same thing has happened. i would seriously enjoy some answers. thanks.

im not able to name my sims and not being able to do that just makes it suck ! help??

i have the same problem ! and i want answers, game is no fun if you cant name them what you want.
