I have this issue as well. It seems to be a bug with the quest not finishing.
I went to a neighbor's and tried to do this quest every day for a week. Then, yesterday when I went to the neighbor's, the quest completed as soon as I loaded the town. I wonder if it was somehow conflicting with the egg-collecting quest.
- Hello everyone, the key to this quest is to wait until you see the dog digging up treasure, and once you see the treasure money pop up, click on it right away.
