Suggestions for Improving Gameplay Experience
Suggestion: To allow for greater customization of homes and better expression of a Sim’s or household’s personality, it would be lovely if players could also change the fencing around the house. Being able to choose the color of wooden panels and the material (iron, wood, etc.), and perhaps even add climbing plants, would make fences more personal and visually appealing. It’s great that some homes already have different fences (like seaside residences or those developed by the game, such as the family vineyard or the French vineyard—referring specifically to the fences, not the surrounding terrain).
Another suggestion: The ability to name owned houses. When there are empty lots with no Sims living in them, only a house icon appears, which makes them feel a bit anonymous. It would be nice if players could assign custom names to the houses they’ve built—not just to empty ones, but also to those already inhabited by Sims and families. This would add more personality to both the homes and the Sims living in them. These names could appear in the general city view, making each home feel more unique and interesting.
Additional ideas: Updates like the angled room feature were fantastic! But it would be great if rooms could be modified from multiple angles. To clarify: when you make a room angled, you can only do it once—so if I build an L-shaped room, I can’t then modify it into a T-shape. And if rooms could be expanded into an F-shape, that would be amazing! Also, an update allowing curved walls and curved or round pools would be a major improvement, enabling more organic design, a more realistic look, and greater customization.
Speaking of design, I really appreciate the introduction of new styles, such as vintage items and panels, and the highlighted Memphis-style objects!
Regarding some bugs: Pools don’t stay clean—by the next day, they’re dirty again, and one Sim alone isn’t enough to clean them. Also, during events with crafting stations, some Sims don’t complete their assigned actions, wasting valuable time needed to achieve the event goals.
