I'm also currently facing the same issue. My sims are done with the bowling action, but the overhead exclamation mark doesn't show. So they are practically stuck there, which puts me at a disadvantage too because I need them

I'm having the same issue and it sucks because now I don't have enough Sims for the simchase and crafting event.
