[The Sims FreePlay] can you earn lifestyle and Social points?

The timed events tell you to use points, but you cannot seem to earn enough, or at this point I have gotten to level 8, and can not complete unlocking the childrens Store because  I don’t have enough Lifestyle points, and so the event will close, and I can not get to the next level in part due to the needed time, in part because I will not get access to Real world Cash, to put into the Game to buy the life style or the Social points.  There also seems to be no other way to actually earn these points on a large enough stale to actually go further in the game. So if there is a way to get the life style points without Puting Cash into the system I would Like to know. I am now Beginnings level 8, in the make a child area of “quests” in the game and am completely stuck.  I have 6 Life style points but need 35 to unlock the Childrens Store. No life style points to unlock the building, then you cannot spend the 20,000 simoleans (which I have earned) to build the Childrens Store. No Childrens Store built in the next 3 hours and the window close and you cannot complete the task, thus you can not Advanced in the leveling up. Thus you are stuck in the game from meaningfully prgressing in the game, Uniesse you pay Real world Cash.  At last that is my take on the situation. This forum say’s you can earn these points by leveling up, but it does not account for needing these points to get to the point where you can advanced to actually level up.

So the idea of free pay, is actually far less then genuine.  Which bring’s us to the question, is there a fairly cheep purchase to buy this game and progress without these special needed points, to open up some part of the game?

  • @t9kn22vmdst8 Note : I am using an iPad and I don’t see any other options then the game I am playing in the Apple Store for this game in general. I know that on EA games website they talk of many versions, some sound interesting but are not on the Apple store. Do they not Play on an iPad?
  • It is very difficult to read a mass of text that lacks proper format, punctuations and glaring typos

    but I’ll try

Why would you need LP/SP to progress in the quest?

No level quest requires LP/SP unless you want to rush things

The time limit is for a special prize, baby decorations

If you miss the deadline you miss that prize but can finish the quest in your own pace

You can only build one building at a time, maybe that is the issue?

You can level up without progressing in quests

Every action, task will give XP so you can level up

    What EA website?

Firemonkeys have 2 Sims games for mobile

    TSFP the sims freeplay

    and

    TSM the sims mobile

TSFP is more structured and TSM is more like the computer/console sims games

Or do you mean versions as in every update is called ”version”?
TSFP is currently on version 5.78.0

In that mass of text, is there actually a question?

SP can be earned by doing tasks in the neighbourhood and Live Events, it is sometimes awarded in other quests IIRC

LP can be earned by completing hobbies

  • Sorry for the typos, between having three languages loaded on my iPad and an out of control AI, changing things on me, which sometimes I miss, the typos sometimes still happen.

I’m replying to the issues of LPs and progressing. I’ve been at Level 55 for a couple of years now.

I began playing in 2017. I ignored any activity that popped up that wouldn’t have a positive effect on my “game plan”, which was the path I wanted to take given what I could see. It included which houses, which employment, which hobbies, which real estate/business purchases, etc that would have a long term benefit over and above the others.

To acquire LPs, I began with the cooking hobby, bought a seaside house because of the design and started filling it with the best, 3 star ⭐️ ovens, not the most expensive, just the 3 stars and nothing less.

As time went on I gradually migrated from cooking to diving, where I am today. I have 35 Sim divers and they supply enough LPs to periodically make the worksites produce more and upgrade more.

Today I’m at my predetermined limit and while there are more places to develop, I just ignore them and improve what I have, and I have ALOT! I control the weather both globally and individually at each house. There’s more.

What I no longer have is peace of mind. Ever since the upgrades that began 2 years ago with the unisex or whatever, the file sizes doubled because the system was never designed for it and it was done sloppily without regard to the technology. A game that never had technical issues in gameplay was suddenly buggy with every release and they have increased to this day. I got tired of submitting error reports and the helpdesk got tired of me. I’m now playing with the latest bugs and the prior ones that were never fixed.

@t9kn22vmdst8  My response regarding your initial comment was not tagged to you so I’m telling you here. Please read it.

  • To PaHooK,

Thank you for your answer, I have downgraded my play time, and get to it maybe 2 hours a week now, I figure maybe eventually I’ll get the points to build

the children’s store, but I am not be as obsessive about playing any more. I wrote this awhile back, and actually forgot about it, until you responded.

Thank you again for your help.

@t9kn22vmdst8  Haha, I’m glad to read what you wrote! These games are supposed to be just games and fun, but we can become obsessed over them. What you said was perfect 👍🏼.
