I just completed the update on my Fire 7 (12th generation) Tablet and am no longer able to plant a Simoleon Plant in the garden patch. None of my garden patches at various houses and locations will allow planting. They are the same patches that have been used for months. Now it only gives me two options to interact: Admire or Water Garden.
The simoleon sprout has been replaced by capsules. You can find the in the Simoleons tab in Online Store. It’s still free :)
Currently there’s also a box at the Mystery Box store, so you can also spend a key to get simoleons.
I am unable to plant a Simoleon plant in any of my saves. I have Deleted and resaved my game on both Log in Ideas. Still no planting. Did you get an answer that has worked. Could not attach screen shot. Thank you for any andball assistance.

I'm having the same problem with my kindle fire (12 generation)
The capsule doesn't help to get rid of extra candles to get more tools to complete the challenge
event capsules for construction coins are in the Craft Challenge tab, top left if you are on a lot with crafting tables
capsules for LP, SP and Simoleons are in the shop tabs under respective currency - LP and SP capsules require tokens, Simoleon capsule refreshes every 4 hours
I just updated and came back to the game after about a year hiatus and noticed the same thing…I’m trying to verify if this is part of the update (a way to force us to pay/cheat for more simoleons) or an actual bug/glitch…??
It’s part of the update. You can now use capsules instead of the simoleon spin plant.

I think is awful and dissapointing you can't change LP for SP anymore. Not fun to play anymore.
