A friend of mine got the same task. She has completed several tasks and two or three days with the pregnant Sim, and several support tasks without success. A “step” is for sure not to complete the whole quest/pregnancy.
There is no other discovery quest available in her town.
Another player got the task to “complete a progression quest step” and can’t complete it either.
Unfortunately I can't seem to take a screenshot of my open tabs, but when I click on the location tab, right bottom on task tile, it takes me to my Discovery quest, which is on 90% with the title "complete the pregnancy event"
I've done 2 additional tasks, and only have 1 main daily task left to complete. I'll come update if there was any success after the whole "day's tasks" was completed.
