No.
The greed is through the roof, if this was to "Support the Creators" as EA and the Team want to project for a start the revenue split should be flipped to be in the Creator's favour. From what we understand the creators are the ones making the content for the marketplace themselves and EA is enriching themselves from creators' hard work, shaving off the top to pay for the financially, morally and ethically wrong buy out.Exploiting the creators, their communities and the sims community as a whole in the process. A creator came out speaking about the build up to the marketplace's announcement the targeting of the vulnerable, the secrecy and deceit; with everything else that is coming out about the business model, it makes me sick.
The Marketplace itself is much more aggreges than even the Sims 3 Store was looking at the Moola prices thread and the TS3 Store bar was already deeper than the pits of hell to begin with.
If anything is to be changed about this to make it even the tiniest bit better, to start with the revenue split is the first thing that needs to be addressed; 30/70 (creator/company) split is such a disgusting split, not even YouTube or Twitch stupe that low. YouTube has a 55/45 split and Twitch's standard for subs is 50/50. Creators make the content, they should never be getting less than half measures, as an artist myself this split is just insulting.
Not to mention the game itself, the amount of bugs I see this causing... because there totally isn't enough bugs already and with all the additional content the marketplace will bring.
The game is physically struggling under its own weight with the infamous shaky foundation it was built on. It's a matter of when (not if) the game will cease to be functional.

Maybe, it depends on if I like the content. However, if they add another button on the UI in the game just like that shopping cart, then it will be a hard no, as I will not support something that distracts or tries to break immersion from the game.

This reeks of greed. Absolutely not paying for single bit of CC that I can make myself and share for free.
Especially since EA has stated they are not releasing any more EPs but want to just have creators get paid pennies for CC on an antiquated game engine?

I think this is a bad 'Moo've and bad for Community cohesion. It does nothing positive for EA's (and the Sims Team's) optics with regards to greed or the new ownership, and involved creators will have their names tarnished through their involvement. The Sims community on Tumblr looks very unhappy with this news, especially creators who were formerly involved with the Creator Network.
I think the low pay cut on top of this is a bit insulting as well. Most publishing platforms do a 60% or 70% cut in favor of creators. There's a claim that the money will go towards quality control but in previously released Creator Kits, that seems to have been overlooked in several cases, and the value proposition of the content previewed in the Marketplace trailer looks even worse than that of the Kits.
We don't need even more FOMO in a hobby that's become more and more monetized but I think the creators should get a larger cut of sales if this has to happen at all.

I like that phrasing, and I agree. No moo milking for me either.

Custom content belongs to the community! It should remain FREE, and CC creators should respect that. This marketplace is milking our creators. I won't support any CC creator who will join this ride. Only because of CC—I've been playing this game for so long; without us?There would be no Sims! Simmers need to raise their voice!
I would rather support the creator directly because I don't need EA to monitor for me the CC I want to use. EA should focus on their "official content"; it already has enough things that need to be fixed or done! But sadly, someone always wants to milk the MILK! Well,NO moo milking for 🐮 from me!

No. I do not intend to buy Marketplace content unless I'm forced to. Even then I doubt I'd touch it with a 29 and a half foot pole.
It literally makes me sick, to the point that I might not even buy any sims 4 packs ever again. This lost a lot of trust in me, and I don't need another source of FOMO making me, a cancer patient, stressed out beyond belief. I already can barely afford what I need to, and I don't need sims 4 on top of it, anymore.
We'll see where I stand but this was a horrible move on the Sims Team's Part. - GrandpaIsMe5 days agoSeasoned Newcomer
Absolutely not. If old kits are exclusive, I'm not buying any future kits or old ones.
