Cannot Download Marketplace Content

I recently got a new computer that finally has the space and such to run games again. I installed the EA app, I see my order history in my EA account when I login. I downloaded the Sims 4 base game. I cannot see any of my purchased content.

I chatted in, followed the instructions to go to Marketplace > My Collection > Pack Selection - I understand you're supposed to check the check boxes or "select all" to do this, but I don't see those options at all. I tried clearing cache, repairing the app, etc. This is what I see. It shows that I own these, but that they are "not installed" and seems to give no indication on how to do so.

Not sure if it matters but I purchased all in 2018 originally in Origin and this is my first foray into the EA app. I am playing on a Mac (a brand new MacBook Air)

    expansions/game and stuff packs are still installed through EA app. You need to install them first before you can activate them.

    To be sure, you see the packs in EA app but not in the game ?

    No - I saw them in my account order history though. After the poor advice of a CS chat rep, I did finally find them in the EA app under the Sims game “Manage > Add Ons” menu. I don’t know why they didn’t advise that first!
