The bookshelves I have gotten do hold some items. Sometimes, they don’t hold bigger items without cheats, but to put a collectible my sim or something with a similar footprint they will hold. Sometimes smaller bookshelves however have a footprint of a bigger shelf which I find strange, so sometimes you have to use move objects to put something closer to the shelf. The computers and TV’s are useable (so far),and some of the desks with shelves, do hold extra stuff. Some books are useable like bookshelves, some are not. Most of those that have books with book ends are useable, and even some smaller ones are useable. I don’t have many y2k items yet but do plan on getting some more of them and will try to let you know. I don’t think any of the books will be able to be used as a journal, as I think that comes with the parenting game pack and I don’t think or is in the base game. There is a better digital camera in different colors that is useful, I’m not sure about the poloroid camera, I figure that footprint is not useable. I was told the back pack is not useable as a back pack, but you can view it. I will try to check out some of the walkmans and CD players and stuff and see if they are useable as a radio, as I get them and let you know.
With what I have so far, as far as electronics, 1. The Dear Diary Bedroom has a cassette boombox that works as a stereo. 2. The Y2K gamer maker pack by Hydra has 2 computers, 1 tv, and a little cd player that sits on a desk, or dresser (maybe tables etc,).that works as a stereo. 3. The Josephine set has a computer, and then speakers that work as a stereo. 4. The toilette set has a wall tv.
So far the packs I have with working books ( not counting actual bookshelves that you would naturally assume are probably book bookcases ). 1. The soft minimalist living collection has two little nightstand or living room end table size boxes that work as book cases. The book clutter in that set do not work as books. 2. The Breezy living collection has 2 small books with a cup sitting on top of them that functions as a bookcase. 3. The toilette set has a set of books that work as a bookcase. 4. The snazzy living room has a stack of books that function as a bookcase. 5. Spindi Dining room has 2 small books with something on top of them that functions as a bookcase. 6. The Artsy Boho Bedroom has A little book house with books that can fit on top of something ‘that works as a bookcase.
