Kits Purchased Through Marketplace Not Functional

Hi, 

I recently had some extra moola and purchased a couple kits through marketplace. Bust the dust kit, bathroom clutter and  everyday clutter kits. All kits show as owned and installed, and the objects show up in game but are completely not functional. They are entirely decorative and do not do anything when clicked on. The items in the two clutter kits that have functionality to them are not working, and none of the vacuums are working. I know bust the dust kit is buggy, but this is just me having paid for nothing? Any ideas? 

I did see other forums talking about similar issues and no known fixes other than reinstalling before starting your save, but it makes it unbelievably laggy and you have to do it every time.
