Active Sim can't do any action AT ALL

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? You make your sim do an event, come back to the game and the event disappears. It can't do actions with other sims or objects except for just turning on or off the lights and acquire energy from boosting items.
What do you expect to see? Be able to make my sim do anything she wants because she's active.

I noticed for the last couple of months that when I throw parties, the party host sim sometimes gets glitchy. I made her do a standard hangout then when I came back on the game, the event disappeared and she can't do anything at all. It can't do actions with other sims or objects except for just turning on or off the lights and acquire energy from boosting items. I tried to hard close the game several times and even restarted my phone but she's still the same. And this bug's a little different from the busy sim 'cause when I try to make it do something or make my unaffected sims interact with it, there's no "Sim is Busy" message coming out.
I found a workaround solution for my own issue. It's always been the norm with this game lol. You make her do a workshop shift then make her go back to the house and she can do actions again. Not sure if there are more solutions to this especially for players who can't do workshop shifts.
EDIT: Well, I thought the workshop shift is the solution lol. But it really isn't. After her shift, I made her do some actions at home. But she still can't. Turns out, the solution is that you make another active sim do a hangout with the bugged one. And after that, it all goes back to normal. Whew, good thing we have some workaround ideas or else we're just gonna end up sobbing about these various bugs haha.
